About This Project

Thank you so much for visiting our 2019 Trends in E-Learning site.  This site was designed as a class project for The University of Colorado Denver - E-Learning Trends course.  But perhaps, more importantly, this website was designed with the job-embedded learner in mind.  Our focus on video learning was chosen as the result of our own invested interest in online learning trends in the workplace.  Our purpose is to discover how current educational technologies can effectively intersect with vibrant and interactive e-learning experiences. Part of this goal includes finding new ways to utilize video in the online setting, which has led to the focus of this project: “Interactive Video in E-Learning.” We also seek to provide some background information, places to start, and tips & tools that will help you launch yourself into the video teaching & learning world yourself!

About Jacki

I'm a educational leader residing in the Mile High City. I currently work with Cherry Creek Schools as a Coordinator of Student Achievement. I am also a doctoral student at The University of Colorado studying educational leadership,  professional learning, and technology. I've been fortunate to teach and lead in a wide range of settings including K-12 schools and the business community. Alongside my work as an educator, I am passionate about the work of therapy dogs, philanthropy and mentorship programs in schools. Feel free to connect with me and share what you're working on. Together, we can make a positive impact on the lives of kids in our communities.  For more information about me, visit www.jenniferwiggs.com.

I have been working in the instructional design field for over five years, and in online education for over a decade. My professional focus is faculty development: helping instructors to translate their course curriculum to an online learning platform and to transition to teaching in the online environment. I am a graduate student in the Learning Design and Technology Program at the Univ of CO Denver, concentrating in Instructional Design and Adult Learning. I am also the Senior Instructional Designer in Educational Technology at Denver Seminary, a graduate school for theological studies and clinical counseling licensure. Our team is dedicated to providing the highest quality theological education available, designed around learner-centered and active learning methodology.
